Where internal documents are certified by an individual who is an employee of that company, this will only be accepted where the above applicable criteria is met or, where they hold an independent position and they are signing in an independent capacity rather than as an employee of the company. Below are the independent capacities that will be accepted:

Certification of documents can take place by the Post Office, but only in countries where the Post Office is government owned (e.g. Switzerland), and the only document which may be certified by a Post Office is an ID document.
We need to be able to identify the certifying body by ensuring that the certified document includes:
- A stamp (seal of the relevant authority/company/printed name) (if available)
- A declaration that it is certified as a true copy of the original document (this attestation needs to appear on the certified document)
- A date (no more than 6 months prior to date of receipt)
- Full name of the certifier
- A signature of the individual certifying the document
- Certifiers position e.g. Practicing Solicitor
- Contact details of the certifier
- In cases where the ID document does not bear a signature (e.g., Hong Kong), the bearer of the document has to sign the copy and the signature shall be certified together with the document itself. The certifier should state “and the bearer of the document has signed in my presence”
Notes:
- Certification should have taken place within the past 6 months
- Self-certification by an individual and double certification (certification of an already certified document) are not acceptable
- ID documents have to be in date at the time of certification
- The certifier must perform the certification in the presence of the original documents. When certifying the ID documents of a natural person they must meet the individual personally
- Certification on large documents must be on the 1st page, stating the number of pages in the whole document in order to certify all pages by default
